🌿 5 Journaling Prompts to Ease you into Shadow Work 😇

Shadow work is a deep and complex practice that is difficult to do. However it is extremely beneficial and it deepens your understanding of yourself and your deeper motivations.

Your shadow self is a psychological term for everything we can't see in ourselves, or your "darker side". It's where our primitive human emotions arise, such as rage, envy, greed, selfishness, desire, or striving for power.

Its not an easy or fun experience to acknowledge your own unflattering or unfavorable parts of yourself, but necessary to mature into a better version of you. (If you want to learn more about Shadow Work I suggest reading this article by Scott Jeffrey. He really knows his stuff and can teach you everything you need to know about shadow work.)

That all being said, these journaling prompts are easing you into shadow work very slowly. These are very much for shadow work beginners and anyone curious about where to start with journaling. Just make sure to approach these questions and answers with an open and curious mind. If you practice shadow work prompts everyday, you will start to see a positive change in yourself very quickly.

Journaling is ~self care~
